You might suspect it from my name; I’m originally from France. I left to study Linguistics abroad when I was 18 with the University of Poitiers in France, the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia and the University of Nanjing in China, graduating in Translation Studies. I picked up a few languages along the way like Mandarin Chinese, English and more recently Python, JavaScript, Java, HTML and CSS.
After my Masters at the University of Sheffield in Communication, I worked for nearly three years as a Project Manager in the localisation industry, combining my language skills with my time-management and organisational skills to deliver localised media content for TV and Video-On-Demand platforms across the world.
I decided to move away from the language sector and relocated to Scotland to join the Professional Software Development course at CodeClan where I gained thousands of hours’ worth of hands-on coding experience. I got to build tracking apps, games, and even a food ordering app implementing Stripe. I absolutely love the challenge and the creative thinking that building apps involves.
I am open to opportunities at small and medium sized businesses that would allow me to hone both my frontend and backend skills and dive deeper into the world of full-stack software development.
Indie gaming has been a real passion of mine since I realised that what I look for in a game is a unique experience, be it original storytelling, experimental game mechanics or stunning pixel art visuals! I am a huge KC:D fan but also always looking for the latest city builder or old-school point and click adventure title.
I enjoy travelling as well and usually have in mind the next place I’d like to visit, with an itinerary for all the new foods I’m planning to try. Next stop when circumstances permit will be the Czech Republic.
A Covid friendly full-stack mobile first web app to allow customers at a bar/restaurant/pub to place food and drink orders from their table. The app implements Stripe and is ready to take payments.
A frontend app that displays the current UK top 10 songs from an iTunes API, plays an audio preview, and can filter by genre.
A simple frontend app that takes in user questions and returns a response from the 8 ball, simulating the plastic fortune-telling toy from the 1950's.
A full-stack browser game version of the gambling dice game Farkle (aka Hot Dice aka 10000) along with a leaderboard rendering players and their stats, and sorted by best scores.
